Quiet and Dark

Well, the past two months have been pretty quiet on the blog front.  It's week 8 in the new role and, while things are going smoothly, it's a bunch of work getting to know the team, company, peers, technology, processes, etc.  I have to say I couldn't be happier and very excited about what we can accomplish.  With that, there's a lot of work to do over the next 6-12 months but the team is excellent.  On the negative, it means that my ability to balance work / life / blog is not so hot.

In the past 8 weeks I've participated / talked at Chatham House for NATO, had two off sites, a holiday, gave two all hands, met nearly every peer in the company, learned what "real technology scale" is, had my family over for a week, had my wife's family over for a week, started going back to the gym (love the work gym!), had a birthday, graduation for kids and (most importantly) moved from wine to scotch...

Where it has been quite, I did want to post and say I'm not dead.  Albeit I might feel like it some days.  My goal is to post more frequently than I have.
