In a weird, but "should have seen that coming", situation I just read about 3D printer aficionados working to print weapons. Imagine being able to download the schematics and print your own AR-15, Glock, or grenade casing at home. The events of Boston being just last week brings this to light. I believe in our right to bear arms but this is pretty dangerous stuff. Where I'm curious and excited to play with it I'm concerned of what this Pandora's box could mean.
Well, we won't have to wait much longer. Cody Wilson and his DefCad.org site are working on being the first to build a fully functional firearm using a 3D printer. You can read the story on Mashable here.
